Water and wastewater (VA) is a crucial part of our construction projects and thus the development of tomorrow's societies. We work broadly within the entire VA area, from early stages and investigations to detailed design, inspections, and training.

The Role

We work with system solutions for water and wastewater networks, as well as stormwater investigations and pipeline coordination. In the role of Technical Manager for VA, you will work with project management, investigations, design, and dimensioning of facilities for water and wastewater. The project phases we work in range from early stages, investigations, and sketch proposals to detailed design, completed tender documents, and support during construction.

Together with colleagues in your technical area, you will operate within the entire infrastructure and community building sector. Our clients are private, municipal, or state-owned. Each assignment is unique and therefore requires a unique team setup that is adapted to the task. A project organization may consist of colleagues from several different offices, often with local anchoring to get close to the client. An important part of the role is to be a mentor and support for younger colleagues.

In this position, you will work on assignments across the country and travel may occur, but you will have one of our offices as your regular workplace. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.

Qualifications

As a person, you are curious and interested in your technical area and have energy and drive. You find it easy to understand and participate in technical discussions and thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by strong growth.

We are looking for someone with several years of work experience in VA design as a consultant, contractor, and/or client. You have good knowledge of AutoCAD and hold a driver's license. Since AFRY is an international company, we expect you to be proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, to meet our clients' needs.

Educationally, we see that you have a relevant bachelor's or master's degree or have gained equivalent skills through extensive experience in the industry.

Your base location will be Västerås/Uppsala and surrounding areas. Since we collaborate a lot with our other offices in the region, travel will occur in the position.
